Teaching the Power of Giving: Match Day Student Program

Thanks to the incredible generosity of community sponsors, each student will receive $25 or $200 to donate to local nonprofits participating in Match Day. This initiative is designed to teach students about:

  • Philanthropy and giving back

  • The importance of community involvement

  • How the Community Foundation supports the greater Wamego area

During the session, students will also meet the sponsors who made this opportunity possible and learn about the causes that matter to them.

Match Day: Student Visit

On Thursday, October 1, students will visit Match Day in-person with their classes. They'll have a chance to meet nonprofit representatives, ask questions about their missions, and see how their donation can create real impact.

This hands-on experience is a powerful way to build empathy, curiosity, and civic engagement.
