At Wamego Community Table, hosted at Wamego United Methodist Church, our mission is simple and essential: ensuring every neighbor has barrier-free access to warm, nutritious meals and genuine fellowship. Every week—without fail, fee, or requirement—we serve an average of 230 free meals to families, seniors, and local residents across two weekly gatherings (Sunday Breakfasts and Wednesday Night Dinners).

Why We Need Your Help Today: Demand for our community meals continues to grow as local families and seniors face rising grocery prices and economic pressure. At the same time, food supply shifts mean our procurement costs have increased significantly. To keep our doors open to all and maintain the high quality and nutritional value of our menus, we must secure reliable community funding.

Profile

Wamego Community Table originally began as Grace Cafe, serving meals during Wednesday night programming. Seeing a growing need for food security and connection in our town, the passion of local members helped transform that small gathering into a year-round, twice-weekly community meal program. Today, we serve nearly 12,000 free meals annually across Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, ensuring every neighbor in Wamego always has a seat saved at the table.
