Goal: $10,000.00
Specific Need
During the 2018-19 academic year, Manhattan Area Technical College had a dream of expanding to provide career and technical education in Wamego. The opportunity to obtain the Bluestem Electric Cooperative location near Wamego High meant the dream could be a reality.
Manhattan Tech has been renovating the current facilities in since 2021 to include welding, electrician training, general education courses, and more. Classes will be offered at the center, at some area high schools, online, and in a hybrid format. Manhattan will still be home to the main campus and operations of the college. Students will be able to complete many general education requirements and introductory workforce training in essential occupation career areas needed in the region.
Planning discussions are occurring towards expanding additional educational opportunities to include CDL and diesel mechanics training. Your donations will help enhance the Wamego Center and provide our students with more scholarship opportunities to assist in their education with Manhattan Area Technical College.
Mission
Manhattan Area Technical College provides high quality technical, general, and adult education to prepare individuals to pursue technologically advanced careers and lead productive lives in a dynamic and diverse global environment.
