Specific Need

Bones was a long time teacher/coach/athletic director. We are going to provide assistance to teachers that epitomize the Be Like Bones motto! Our plan is to take requests or nominations, and reward teachers that are in need of resources for their classroom, continuing education, etc. We are still going to help students in need, along with trying to help them get interested in extracurricular activities! 

Mission

THE BE LIKE BONES FOUNDATION WAS ESTABLISHED TO SUPPORT KIDS IN THEIR ACADEMIC SUCCESS AND PROVIDE RESOURCES FOR EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES. IT WAS INSPIRED BY MY GRANDPA, BONES NAY, WHO FACED CHALLENGES IN SCHOOL DUE TO DYSLEXIA AND OTHER LEARNING DISABILITIES. THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN BAND, DEBATE, AND SPORTS, HE FOUND WAYS TO OVERCOME THESE OBSTACLES AND DISCOVERED HIS PASSION FOR LEARNING. ULTIMATELY, HE BECAME THE SENIOR CLASS PRESIDENT AT WICHITA NORTH HIGH SCHOOL AND RECEIVED A SCHOLARSHIP TO NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY. HE WENT ON TO PURSUE A CAREER IN EDUCATION AND COACHING, EVENTUALLY BECOMING AN ASSISTANT ATHLETIC DIRECTOR AT KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY. THE BE LIKE BONES FOUNDATION AIMS TO HONOR MY GRANDPA'S LEGACY AND EMPOWER THE NEXT GENERATION!
