Kids Connection of Wamego

Specific Need

Funds will be used to purchase items for the needs of community children and families when there is a hardship.  Emphasis is placed on children in the foster care system. 

Profile

Kids Connection began by serving solely the needs of foster children in 2020.  In 2021, Kids Connection became a member of the Wamego Community Foundation.  It was at that time we expanded our service to helping any child in need.  We grew from delivering bags of clothing, shoes and hygiene products to homes of in need children to supporting community drives.  Drives like the community coat drive where we donate coats annually.  We have provided school supplies for the back to school drive. We donate hats, gloves and socks to the Community Christmas Bureau through our local banks.  We participate in school drives such as the WHS FBLA Trick or Treat So Others Can Eat providing nonperishables, the WMS Santa Closet providing gift items and WHS FFA sock drive. 

We continue to maintain a Kids Closet of clothes, shoes and other items for emergency foster children needs  and are constantly on the search for other ways to help kids. If you are aware of a child in need, please text us at 785-285-1728.
