Specific Need
Thank you for supporting victims and survivors!
Your support is vital to our mission of providing 24/7 free and confidential services, resources, and support for victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Your support to the Crisis Center, Inc. on Wamego Match Day helps some of Wamego's most vulnerable community members - victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault - all year long. Your gift is matched, creating an even bigger impact that allows us to reach more people with our life-saving services.
Community generosity not only sustains our life-saving services, but it also sends a powerful message: Victims and survivors are not alone. Your support reassures them that a compassionate community is ready to stand by their side on their journey to safety, healing, and recovery.
At the Crisis Center, Inc., our services are available 24/7, 365 days a year, and are always completely free. We provide a wide-range of services that increase the safety and stability of victims and survivors, including safe shelter.
Our Specific Needs This Year:
Your support will help us cover critical expenses that grants do not fully fund, including:
- Our Outreach Case Advocate, a dedicated advocate to serve Wamego and Pottawatomie County, providing victims and survivors with crisis intervention, personal advocacy, medical advocacy, court and legal advocacy, law enforcement advocacy, supportive counseling, and help with basic needs such as food, housing, and transportation.
- Our Parent-Child Advocate, who provides victims and survivors from Wamego with support for their children, including assistance with parenting skills, rebuilding bonds, healthy age-appropriate activities, and assistance with other resources and basic needs.
- Our 24/7 crisis intervention services, which are available any time - day or night - to victims and survivors in Wamego to ensure they can find safety and never have to go through a crisis alone.
- Our 24/7 Crisis Helpline services, which are available by call or text to victims and survivors from Wamego any time - day or night.
