Fueling Future Founders: Invest in Wamego's Young Entrepreneurs!

The Wamego Community Market is committed to igniting the entrepreneurial spirit in our youth through our dynamic Youth Entrepreneurship Program. This initiative empowers kids aged 8-14 to dream big, develop comprehensive business plans, craft their own unique products, and gain invaluable real-world experience by selling their creations directly to the community at our Wednesday markets.

However, to truly nurture and expand this vital program, we need your support.

Specifically, we are seeking donations to address the following critical needs:

• Seed Funding for Young Ventures: Many of our young entrepreneurs have incredible ideas but lack the initial capital for supplies and materials. Your contribution can provide micro-grants to help them bring their visions to life.
• Workshop & Mentorship Resources: To equip these budding business owners with essential skills, we aim to host workshops on topics like marketing, budgeting, and customer service. 
• Dedicated Program Supplies & Equipment: From tables and display materials to basic crafting supplies, providing the necessary tools will ensure all participants have an equal opportunity to showcase their products professionally.
• Scholarships for Participation: We want to ensure that every child with a passion for entrepreneurship can participate, regardless of financial limitations. Your generosity can help fund scholarships to cover any participation fees.

To cultivate a thriving community gathering space at the Wamego United Methodist Church every Wednesday (May-August, 4-7 PM) by providing a vibrant marketplace that connects neighbors, supports local vendors, offers engaging experiences through live music and a dedicated kid zone, and empowers young entrepreneurs through our youth program.
