Hank Hartwich Foundation

Goal: $50,000.00

Specific Need

The Hank Hartwich Foundation is raising funds to purchase and install new playground equipment at the Wamego Rec Complex, located at Highway 24 and Balderson Blvd. The Wamego City Commissioners voted on September 2nd, 2025 permission to raise funds towards new playground equipement.

This project will provide a safe, fun, and inclusive place for children and families to gather, play, and create lasting memories. With your support, we can bring this vision to life for the Wamego community.

Mission

The mission of the Hank Hartwich Foundation is to honor Hank’s life and story by giving back to the people and places of Wamego. Through projects that foster play, wellness, and connection, the Foundation is dedicated to making Wamego a better place for families and future generations.

Profile

Hank Hartwich is the son of Will and Casie Hartwich. In 2024, he was diganosed with a rare type of pedatric cancer. Unfortunately, our time with Hank was cut short just after his 8th birthday. Hank was adored by his family, his friends and teachers for his good-natured attitude, fondness for pulling pranks, and confidence for doing what he loved on his terms. Please help us honor Hank by supporting his foundation.
