Goal: $50,000.00
Specific Need
At The Columbian Theatre, we believe every story deserves to be experienced at its best. This year’s Match Day fundraising will focus on upgrading essential technology to enhance both audience and performer experiences.
Much of our current lighting, sound, and backstage equipment is outdated. While it’s served us well, it’s time to invest in modern, high-quality tools that match the caliber of our productions.
Your support will help fund, but is not limited to:
-
-
Lighting & Sound Upgrades: New energy-efficient LED lighting and an upgraded sound system with enhanced speakers and body microphones for clearer, balanced audio.
-
New Projector & Cyc Drop: A digital projector and refreshed cyc drop for expanded visual storytelling possibilities.
-
Backstage Communication System: Modern headsets and intercoms for seamless crew communication behind the scenes.
-
These upgrades will ensure that The Columbian Theatre remains a vibrant, relevant cornerstone of our community while preserving its historic charm.
Thank you for supporting the future of The Columbian Theatre!
Mission
The Columbian Theatre Foundation exists to serve the community and to enrich the lives of both area residents and visitors. The Columbian encourages participation of the arts and culture within the community, while preserving its historical significance.
Profile
The Columbian Theatre, Museum and Art Center celebrated a grand reopening in the fall of 1994 after a privately funded renovation by The Columbian Theatre Foundation, Inc. The purpose of the Foundation is to preserve and interpret the only remaining set of decorative art from the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. This beautiful facility has become a regional center for the arts; serving as a venue for theatre productions, live music, and local art. Because of the beautiful spaces and elegant setting, The Columbian Theatre, Museum and Art Center is an ideal venue for small conventions, corporate meetings and receptions, parties, wedding receptions and other social events.
