Kiwanis Club of Pott. Co. - Wamego

Specific Need

Do you want to make a difference for the youth in your community?  Join us in empowering our youth to grow in character and develop as leaders to further impact children, peers and their community.

The Kiwanis Club of Pott County-Wamego currently sponsors the Builder's Club at Wamego Middle School.  This student led organization provides opportunites to perform service,  build character and provide leadership with the vision to develop capable, competent and caring leaders.

Addtionally, your donation could help provide scholarships for area youth to attend Key Leader Weekend.  This annual leadership training brings youth together from across Kansas to Rock Springs Ranch.  The weekend focuses on the Five Key Principes of Key Leader which are: Personal Integrity, Respect, Personal Growth, Building Community and Excellence.

Finally, your donation could help sponsor projects that impact children and their families in your local community. One of our biggest projects involves providing backpacks to underprivileged children in the Wamego School District. Working through the Council of Churches, who stuff the backpacks with supplies, we provided over 200 backpacks for the recent school year.
