Mission
The Caring Neighbors Cancer Fund was created by individuals in the Wamego community to help people needing financial support after a cancer diagnosis. Recipients in the Wamego and surrounding area may apply for funds to defray medical insurance deductibles and/or travel expenses associated with a cancer diagnosis.
Profile
The Caring Neighbors Cancer Fund originated in 2015 to help a husband and wife in the Wamego community who were diagnosed with cancer within a month of each other. They would accept financial assistance only if the fund would be continued to help others. We are an all-volunteer committee who raises funds through donations and events each year.
